Participate in this interactive presentation featuring an 8-minute experience that presses participants to perform everyday tasks as if they were living with cognitive impairment. This simulation will be followed by a general review of the most common types of dementia and how progressive brain changes impact thinking, functioning and behaviors.

Living with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) can bring a whirlwind of emotions and lifestyle changes — our innovative program gives people with MCI an outlet to work through them.
Gather is a welcoming, peer-led support group for people diagnosed with MCI. Based on successful programs emerging in Europe, the support group is facilitated by the members themselves. It’s a place to connect with others who get what you’re going through and a chance to navigate this journey together.

A way for people living with dementia to volunteer in our community
You are invited to join our monthly volunteer group, specifically designed for people living with dementia and their care partners. Each month, we will take part in meaningful volunteer activities that make a difference in the lives of others… and ourselves.

Join us! Care partners enjoy stimulating conversation in educational and support sessions. People with dementia experience engaging activities provided by professional caregivers specially trained in dementia care. Registration preferred, but walk-ins welcome.

Open to all those with dementia and their care partners.
Music can unlock long-term memories, even for people living with dementia. Research shows music can tap into our emotions — decreasing agitation and anxiety, fostering socialization, providing relaxation, and improving mood. Music therapist Amanda Marcum shows caregivers how to connect in new ways and create joy through the magic of music.
